Cities thrive in relation to the quality of life in their neighborhoods. DYV is proud partner with The Battleground Social Justice Taproom to support revitalization of Kent’s historic South End neighborhood. The South End is a community rich in history, settled primarily by immigrants and African Americans who came looking for work on the railroads. These were dirty, dangerous jobs and the South End has traditionally been the working-class side of Kent.
The South End is also Kent’s most diverse neighborhood with a long tradition of being home to locally owned businesses. Proceeds from Cherry Street Cream Ale support neighborhood improvements.
